BLACKHAWK PRICINGHOMEOWNER PRICING (Pricing is for our product only in 4 foot sections) For homeowner pricing (above), you are paying for material only. $5.50 per foot Calculate the Price
At no charge, if you wish, Blackhawk will provide you with a list of home improvement, gutter installation, and/or roofing companies in your area. Some such contractors offer a competitive “gutter protection” product and may have a vested interest in switching you to another product. If you have done your homework and have studied our website, we believe you will be a difficult switch for another product. Feel free to call us with any questions. Most contractors with experience in home improvement, gutter installation, and/or roofing should be qualified and willing to discuss your project labor with you and to give you, 1) a total contract price, 2) a per foot price, 3) a per hour price, or 4) a labor cost estimate. Number 1 or 2 is usually better. We recommend that the home owner get a written offer and check references if you do not know the contractor. Ask for documentation to ensure the contractor has worker’s comp and/or accident insurance on his employees or sub-contractors as well as liability insurance to protect you and your property in case of an accident. ESTIMATING YOUR LABOR COSTSThe biggest cost saver with Blackhawk is that it installs very quickly, especially after the installer has some experience with the product. For example, a simple average one story "A-frame" roof with only 2 or 3 straight "runs" can usually be installed by 2 installers in a couple of hours. (Important Definition: A "run" is defined as a continuous gutter section including inside and outside corners from one end cap to the next). A very large two story house should rarely take them longer than a day. Another way to estimate your labor costs is to estimate $1.25 per foot for a simple one-story job with few corners. For a complex two story job with lots of runs and corners, $2.50 per foot would be a better estimate. We recommend you read our section on "Installation Instructions" before doing your estimate.
